Design Engineer / Whitstable / Permanent
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Design Engineer to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business. This role is ideal for someone with experience in design engineer positions with experience with SolidWorks or similar design software’s within a mechanical or manufacturing environment.
You will play a key role in designing and developing prototype products and working closely with other teams in the organisations to ensure standards are met.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaising with external suppliers and customers when required
- Designing and developing prototype products
- Work with the testing team to ensure products meet guidelines and amending prototype specifications
- Work closely with internal teams to ensure designs meet the correct requirements
- Conduct investigations on failed prototype tests
Requirements
- Previous experience within a design engineer position
- Higher National Certificate or Degree in an Engineering field
- Experience using SolidWorks or a similar 3D CAD software
- Background within manufacturing, engineering, or mechanical environments
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability
- Good communication and organisational skills
