Facilities & Production Engineering ManagerSalary: €50,000–€60,000 | Full-time | On-site

The OpportunityWe are seeking an experienced Facilities & Production Engineering Manager to take ownership of production engineering, continuous improvement and facilities management within a manufacturing environment.
This is a newly created, hands-on management position offering the opportunity to improve production efficiency, support new product lines, optimise operational processes and explore automation opportunities.
Production engineering will be the primary focus of the role, with facilities management responsibilities providing a secondary element to the position.

Key Responsibilities
Production Engineering & Continuous Improvement

• Lead and support production engineering staff and plant technicians.
• Identify opportunities to improve production efficiency, product quality, safety and cost effectiveness.
• Evaluate existing production processes, equipment and material flow to identify opportunities for optimisation.
• Explore automation solutions, equipment upgrades and new technologies to improve operational performance.
• Support the introduction of new products and modifications to existing product lines, ensuring efficient and cost-effective manufacturing processes.
• Lead Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement initiatives.
• Develop and maintain preventative maintenance programmes for production equipment, machinery and tools.
• Support operational teams in resolving internal and customer quality issues.
• Review production layouts, staffing requirements, production times and associated costs.
• Share best practices and contribute to operational excellence initiatives.

Facilities Management

• Oversee the effective operation of building systems, including mechanical, electrical, HVAC and fire/life safety systems.
• Identify and troubleshoot equipment and facilities issues, escalating complex problems where necessary.
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance programmes for facilities and equipment.
• Oversee facility improvement and renovation projects, including external contractors.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental procedures.
• Identify cost-saving opportunities to reduce operational expenditure.
• Support maintenance training and continuous improvement initiatives.

What We’re Looking For

• Fluency in Spanish is essential.
• A strong background in production engineering within a manufacturing environment.
• Experience improving production processes, equipment performance and operational efficiency.
• Experience with automation, equipment upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma principles.
• Experience managing projects from initial planning through to implementation.
• Previous facilities management experience, including building systems and preventative maintenance.
• Strong leadership, communication and problem-solving skills.
• A flexible, hands-on approach with the ability to adapt to changing operational priorities.
• An engineering qualification is required, with a bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related discipline preferred.

The Package & Working Environment

• Salary of €50,000–€60,000.
